Current comparison: $400,000 annual Accelerator subscription, without Midships managed operations or incumbent support.
Midships Keycloak / Planning assumptions
On premises deployment. Indicative USD, excluding taxes. Not a quotationThe comparison starts with the indicative $400,000 annual enterprise Accelerator subscription only. Managed operations are optional. A fixed $625,000 migration allowance is included in Year 1. Prices assume the same agreed deployment scope over five years, with final terms subject to assessment. All figures exclude applicable taxes.
Midships does not charge per active identity, inactive identity or device. Subscription scope depends on the agreed deployment.
Our target is no changes to consuming channels and zero downtime, subject to technical validation of compatibility and migration design.
Our standard terms cap any increase in recurring Midships fees at renewal at 15%, for the same scope and service levels, as written into your contract. Red Hat subscriptions and other third party charges are excluded.
Keycloak 26.6 added experimental support for acting as an authorisation server for MCP. The Accelerator takes agent and service identities to production: agent clients defined as code and promoted through the same audited pipelines as every other change, and ready to integrate with a Persona Registry that holds each agent’s authority and accountability.
Same starting point. Two possible futures.
Compare your existing licence costs with Midships Keycloak, first at current volumes and then with annual growth.
Does it pay back within one year?
Year 1 indicative Accelerator and migration: $1,025,000. Compare with your current annual licensing expenditure, before excluded costs or concurrent vendor charges.

Included in this model
- Five years of current identity and device licensing using your annual unit rates. Separately paid incumbent 24×7 operational support is included only if you enable the support option.
- Indicative Midships Enterprise Accelerator at $400,000 per year, regardless of identity or device count within the agreed deployment scope.
- Optional Midships 24×7×365 managed operations starting from $240,000 per year, included only if selected.
- Fixed illustrative one time migration allowance of $625,000 in Year 1. Actual migration typically estimated at $500,000 to $750,000 and subject to architecture assessment. Our target is zero downtime with no consuming channel changes, after compatibility validation.
Outside this model
- Red Hat enterprise subscriptions: typically less than USD $100,000 per year for some reference deployments, but requirements dependent and to be confirmed. Excluded.
- On premises infrastructure, hardware and hosting, which you provide (Midships Keycloak is deployed in your environment, not offered as SaaS); taxes and inflation.
- Parallel incumbent licensing during migration, other operational costs, changes in deployment capacity or support scope and any post-term renewal increases (the model assumes an agreed five year term).
All figures are indicative, in USD and exclude applicable taxes. They are not a quotation or an offer. This is an illustrative comparison of current licence charges with the selected Midships subscription, optional support and migration costs, not a complete total cost of ownership assessment or guaranteed savings. Midships charges no per identity or per device fees, but different regions or clusters can change the contracted subscription. The 15% renewal cap is a standard term that applies to Midships fees at renewal for the same contracted scope, and takes effect only as written in the executed agreement. Estimates are subject to architecture, technical feasibility, migration scope, contractual terms and validation of Red Hat entitlements. The 24×7 service price is a starting point and can be higher.
